Custom Thin Film Coatings

Newport Thin Film Laboratory is a fully equipped clean room coating facility specializing in the design and manufacture of vacuum deposited optical thin films.  We produce a wide variety of coatings, most of which are designed and manufactured to specific customer specifications. NTFL offers high performance thin film coatings that can be deposited directly onto temperature sensitive devices at temperatures below 50 degrees C.

Most of the thin films that we manufacture are optical thin films used in the ultraviolet, visible and near infrared spectrum. We are continually expanding and improving our equipment and staff in order to remain at the cutting edge of thin film technology. NTFL can provide complete optics, or deposit high performance thin films on customer-supplied substrates. Our high volume capabilities result in competitive pricing. However, we also work closely with you to develop prototypes and coatings for custom applications. We have the capability to deposit high performance coatings on micro optics (1 mm) to larger optics (54” Dia.).  Newport Thin Film Laboratory applications engineers are available to discuss your optics and coating requirements and suggest the most cost effective solutions for your particular situation.
